Elmer is an open source multiphysical simulation software developed by CSC.

Elmer includes physical models of fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, electromagnetics, heat transfer and acoustics, for example. These are described by partial differential equations which Elmer solves by the Finite Element Method (FEM).

CSC provides extensive elmer resources a
http://www.csc.fi/elmer, including source downloads an binaries for Windows platform.

These pages complements the official Elmer resources by providing binaries for Mac OS X. Also, detailed compiling notes are provided to aid those, who wish to compile their own version directly from source.

In addition, I've provided for download various modifications and patches to the official Elmer distribution. Binaries marked with word "evolution" may contain any number of such patches, that have received very limited testing.
